In fact, they went above and beyond by getting straight As in all 50 subcategories on their evaluation sheets! This is truly a rare and exceptional accomplishment. We are very proud of our students, and know that they will bring the many skills they have mastered with them as they go on to become members of the Walton and Pope High School bands! 7th Grade - Your LGPE is March 23rd! Make sure you have mastered all music and filled out the online permission form. Both 7th and 8th grade - Pizza Party! Band Students Honored at District and State Level District Honor Band. Dodgen had the distinction of having 22 members in the GMEA District 12 Honor Band! In order to earn this honor, students had to play memorized scales and sight read challenging music in a competitive audition. The event involved 2 days of rehearsals with outstanding band directors from throughout the state, followed by a concert on the stage at Hillgrove High School. ? All State Band. Dodgen had 6 All State members this year, the highest of any middle school in Cobb County! To earn this honor, our students competed against against all students in the state who passed the district round of all state auditions. This is the highest individual honor a middle school band student can earn! All of our students were directed by composer/conductor Todd Stalter for All State weekend at the Classic Center in Athens, Georgia. ? Whois
